Conferimento della Medaglia DSM-SCI “Fabrizio Bruner”
nel ventennale dalla scomparsa

The study of environment is becoming more and more important for a good health and quality of life.
Different chemical and chemico-physical methods can be used to detect and quantify micro-pollutants such as PCBs, dioxins, pesticides, endocrine disruptors and inorganic compounds. Among them, mass spectrometry (MS) plays a key role.
In recent years there have been impressive developments in MS, both regarding its coupling with separation techniques and the development of rapid sampling and extraction methods which allow to operate under high-throughput conditions.
Even the latest techniques of ambient mass spectrometry found interesting applications in the environmental field.

The 3rd MS EnviDay is organized in plenary lectures, oral and poster communications aimed to present the state of the art and applications of mass spectrometry in environmental analyses together with the latest technological developments, methodologies and applications in the environmental field.

The 3rd MS EnviDay is a good opportunity to link industrial needs and academic knowledge and to promote meeting, discussion and cooperation on environmental sciences among scientists coming from public and private institutions, industries, control and research institutes.

Topics include:
  • Sea quality: water, sediments and biota
  • Tap, surface water and its quality
  • Analysis of soil and its contamination
  • Analysis of air, air polluttants, etc
  • Environment endocrine disruptors
  • Ambient mass spectrometry
  • High resolution mass spectrometry
  • Target & untargeted analysis
